Good morning peeps,
Hope you are well. Fall is here and the mornings are cold and grey...brr... Summer feels so far away. On my way to work I usually listen to the radio, and last week I heard the song "Summertime" by George Gershwin, and my thoughts went back to the lazy days of this summer.

We want you to be inspired by a song (- not a birthday song) over at the Midweek Magnolias this time.
 I usually listen to music or radio when I color and make my cards, so this week's challenge was perfect for me.

I altered an old picture frame. I painted it a few times with gesso and white paints, then I decorated it with flowers and two of the cute Tilda's from the summer kit. I put in one of my favorite pictures of my daughter from this summer. It was taken on midsummer night, we had an evening picnic with our neighbors, with a bonfire and live music, and we had lots of fun making her a  flower wreath... Oh I do miss summer...lol.

All flowers are by WOC and the butterflies are made with a small punch I bought ages ago.

I colored the images with distress ink markers. And here's a closeup of my beautiful 7 year old :)

DT Ett Trykk: Cardmaking day blog hop!

I dag er det CARD MAKING DAY! Det må vel feires litt ekstra, tenkte vi!  For er det ikke en fantastisk herlig hobby vi har? Så masse boblende kreativitet, morsomme produkter å leke og skape med, og så mye glede både i å gi bort og motta hjemmelagde kort og små kreasjoner :D

In the spirit of things; 

here's a wedding card I made for the August edition of Ett Trykk Magazine:

I used a spellbinder die to make the shape, a Magnolia wedding couple- colored with distress inks, and some WOC roses and LLC pearl strings.  The heart stamp masked with the couple image is by Stempelglede.

Popping by to let you know about the new challenge over at Copic Marker Norge.

Today we challenge you to make a Christmas card using two stamps on your card.

And don't forget: we are a copic challenge blog...lol.

Here's my card. Pretty clean and simple, and unusual for me, but the image was so big I didn't want lots of embellishments to compete with it:

I used papers from Vibeke Spigseth/Poppy design, a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and a pearl center by wild orchid crafts. The sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad and means Merry Christmas.

I used my sewing machine along the edges of the papers.

 I masked two Magnolia stamps together and colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. Colors used:

Skin: E13-11-00-000

Sweather and hat: B95-93-91-23-21, BV20, W5

Skirt, skarf, mittens:BV25-23-20, W5

Shoes and hair: E44-43-42-41-20, W7-5

Greens: G94-82-21-40,W5-3

"White": W3-1-00

Dotted background, ground:BV31-20-02- 000, B60, C1, C3

I used snowtext on the trees to make it look like snow. Kind of cool- it gives the trees a small 3D effect.

DT Ett Trykk: Recycled penholder for my desk

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 

I wanted to show you a penholder I made for my desk. I used boxes and things from around the house to make this for the august edition of Ett trykk Magazine. We made an article on recycling and this was one of my projects. You can find the tutorial for this in the the magazine (Ett Trykk 04/13).

I used papers by Pion Design from the Vintage Garden collection - Felix. The die used is by Spellbinders, roses by WOC. I distressed the edges with Walnut stain distress ink. 

I used these boxes from around the house as base for my project.

The vintage pictures are from a Pion Design sheet and the butterflies are cut from a Kort og Godt cut-out- sheet.

I made a post it holder form cardstock and covered it with design papers.

Popping by to show you my latest card for this weeks Midweek Magnolias challenge. This time we have a warm an cozy challenge for you:

 We want you to use either a furry animal, feathers, or Tilda in a coat on your project this week.  

Don't forget to follow our very simple roolz if you want to be in with a chance of picking up that fabulous mystery prize from Magnolia Sweden.  You must use a Magnolia image, and you may only share your project with up to 4 other challenge spots.

I made a card from a paper bag this time:

I used gesso, pion papers, Magnolia doohickey dies (fence, snowflake) and a Martha Stewart punch. The lantern is by La La land crafts and the ribbon and lace are from my stash. The cute little sentiment stamps are from the new release by Norsk Stempelblad AS. I used a page from an old book and lots of distress inks on the edges along with my sewing machine. The postmark stamps are by Kort og Godt.

 I masked two stamps and colored the image with copic markers.

I made a card from cardstock for the inside. Also covered with the beautiful pion papers.
