DT CME: Baptism card for a girl

Hi crafty friend,

Here's a project I made for the Copic Marker Europe Blog.
This is a card I made for a friend of mine. She wanted a girlie card to give away in a Baptism.

I made the card using a fun fold to make it special. I used Pion Design papers and only flowers by WOC and charms from ebay to decorate. The sentiments are by Norsk Stempelblad AS.

The image is by Mo Manning (Mo's digital pencil). Copics used:
Skin: E000-00-21-11-13, R20
Hair: E35-33-31-30
Dress: W7-5-3-1-00, C00
Pink: RV00-11-52, R00-20
I tried to create folds by following the lines of the artist's drawing. For the pink jacket I used dots of RV11 and R00 to try to get a soft look. Same with the underskirt, I used dots of the pink colors, and a thin line of W7-3-00 to create a small shadow under the dress.

Here's the card base with a sentiment in front.

The card has a gate fold and the image is on a tag.

Here's the tag up close:)

Hope you like it!

Kurs på Trøndersaksa- gratulerer med 5 års dagen! / Copic coloring class and crop

Hi peeps,
I was away this weekend joining some lovely ladies at a crop called Trøndersaksa. I taught two classes, this is the card from the copic class. I will show you the other card later this week.

Her er kortet vi lagde på kurset/ Here's the card we made in class:
Materialliste: Bazzill- Lilly White, Mønsterark: Maja Design, La La Land Crafts – Heart banner die, Magnolia – Tag die, Spellbinders: Scalloped circle die, Sizzix – Curly Gate die, Sirkelpunch: 1 1/4 inch, Tekst Stempler/ Sentiments: Norsk Stempelblad AS, Blomster/Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Charms: Fra ebay: URCHarmed, Perler: Staz, Blekk til sverting av kantene: Distress ink walnut stain (for the edges).

Image is Fairy Wishes by Saturated Canary/ Little Darling Rubber Stamps
Hud/Skin: E000-00-11-13, R20, Hair: E41-42-43-44, W7, Klær: BV20-23-25, W7, Bakgrunn/Background: W00-01, BV20, Vinger/Wings: W7-3-00, Stickles (glitterlim)

Here's my workspace at the crop. First one to arrive, last one to leave...lol.

Thank you so much lovely ladies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog,
have a colorful day!

Back to school: Timetable

Hi peeps,

Here's a project I made for the Back to School article in Ett Trykk Magazine this august. I had lots of fun coloring these sweet La La Land images and making the timetable for my daughter. I can't believe she's in 3rd grade already, she was just born 5 minutes ago...lol.

I used papers by Papirdesign, Martha Stewart punch, 7gypsies date stamp, Scissors die by Tim Holtz.
Rest is from my stash. I was inspired by a timetable made by Camilla.

The image is called Qill Pen Marci. Copics used:
Skin: E000-00-11-23, R20
Hair: E29-25-21
Clothes: W7-3-1-00 (White) R89-39-37-35  (red), W7
Shoes and qill pen: BG75-72-70, W7
Book: E35-31-30

This image is Backpack Marci.
Copics used:
 Skin: E000-00-11-23, R20
Hair:  E47-44-43-42-41
Clothes and apple: W7-3-1-00 (White) R89-39-37-35 (red) BG75-72-70 (turqoise)
Backpack: E47-44-43-42-41, W7

Here it is without a timetable inside. We use it every week with the weekly plan my daughter brings home from school. So happy my she likes it,

Tutorial- How to frame your diecut shapes

Hi dear friends and followers,

You know when you use your dies around the images on your card or the designpapers if you make a shaped card. The dies come in different sizes, but usually you feel like there should be one more die between them to make a narrow frame around your images ore papers to get that neat look. Many of you have been asking me how I do this. Here's a tutorial I made for Ett Trykk Magazine on a copule of ways to make your diecut fit better.

The image used is Watercan Avery by the Paper Nest Dolls. Copics used:
Skin: E000-00-11-13, R20
Hair: E59-57-53-51
Dress, bow and shoes: B97-95-93-91
Apron: W7-3-1-00
Watercan: W7-5-3-1-00
Ground:W5-3-1-00

Now, on to the tutorial:
The first part is for makeing a smaller frame than your diecut.
1. You need: Cardboard, dies, scalpell, scissors, pencil, eraser, tape, embossing tool
1. Utstyr: Kartong, dies, skalpell, saks, blyant, viskelær, teip.

2. Glue the dies to the cardboard using your tape. Make sure your tape is on the outside of the die only if you use a permanent one.

3. Cut along the inside of the die using your scalpel.
 3. Skjær langs innsiden av diesen med skalpell.

4. Remove the dies and carefully go over with the scalpel again to be sure that you have cut through completely.

5. Emboss the edges gently to make them nice and smooth.
5. Gå over kantene med pregeverktøy for å lage fine rene kanter.

The second part is for making your frame larger than your diecut shape. The one I've used around the image on my card.

6. For the second method you need need dies, pencil, scissors, eraser, embossingtool

7. Draw around the edge of the die using your pencil.
7. Tegn rundt kanten av diesen.

8.  Cut. Move your paper not the scissors when cutting for a smoother result.

9 . Erase the pencil lines and emboss the edges using your embossing tool.
9. Hvisk bort blyantstrekene og preg kanten forsiktig for å få pen kant.

10. Here's my finished card!
10. Her er det ferdige kortet mitt.

Materials used:
Bildmålarna - designpapers
WOC – flowers,
Live & Love Craft – pearlpin,
Etsy - doily
Spellbinders – scalloped circle, dies around image
Unknown - 1 1/4 inch circlepunch,
Go Create – Small Frilly square dies,
Magnolia – Tilda Lace die
Norsk Stempelblad AS - Sentiment

I inked the edge using Walnut Stain distress inks.

  Hope it was useful!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by today!
