I colored my cute little Watercan Tilda with my Distress ink markers and pads.

I used a  Martha stewart punch on the tag inside. The pretty stamp is by Stempelglede.

Please stop by the Midweek Magnolias blog for some awesome inspiration from my talented teamies and join in the challenge for a chance to win a surprise package from Magnolia in Sweden!

I would like to enter the Magnolia Down under challenge this week- My favorite things.
My favorites are flowers- in all shapes and sizes, I hardly ever make a card without them.
Another favorite are the Stempelglede stamps, the swirls I used on the tag, and the gorgeuos "Take Care"- sentiment.

Card with ribbon and lace flower- with tutorial

Hi peeps,
Hope you are doing good my friends. I just got home after spending 4 weeks on holiday. I had a great time, not much crafting (just a little, tiny bit of coloring...lol), but i had lots of sun and quality time with family and friends. Now I'm back and hope to spend time with my stamps and crafting goods. I had the chance to stop by the Magnolia store in Borås, Sweden this summer, so I have LOTS of new Maggies to ink up. Can't wait!

But before I get a chance to have a date with my crafting space,  I wanted to show you a small tutorial I made earlier, using ribbon and lace to make flowers for my card. Yes, lovelies, I actually made a card without a stamped image...lol!

Here's it is, with the tutorial:

I used craft as the card base and Pion Design DP's. I used a Spellbinder die for the frame and the ribbon is from the Live & Love Craft Store so are the beautiful birdcage charm and metal corners., The lace is from Papirpikene. The text is from an old K& Company cut- out- sheet and the pearl pins are by Maya Road. I used a doily and corrugated cardboard from my stash.

1. You need some ribbon or lace, the wider the ribbon- the larger your flower will be. You also need a sewing needle, some thread and your scissors.

2 Start by attaching the thread at the end of the the ribbon. Sew up and down at the edge of the lace, or on the stitching (if there is one) as shown here.
3. Tighten the thread as you sew so you get an idea of the size and thickness of the flower.
4. Attach the thread and... your flower is done! Here I have done the same with a piece of lace.

5. Here they are on my finished card.

(The tutorial can be found in Norwegian in the june edition of Ett Trykk Magazine 2013)

Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I know I have been M.I.A  because of my holidays, but I will be visiting your blogs very soon! I can't wait to see what you have been up to this summer!
See you soon!

Buttons and Bows at the Midweek Magnolias

It's the middle of summer, and I know a lot of bloggers and crafters are taking the summer off crafting to spend time with family and loved ones. But if you do find the time you should stop by the Midweek Magnolias this week to check out our new challenge:

Buttons and Bows

The DT has got lots of fabulous creations to inspire you.

Here's my card:

I made a card in a total different size
than my usual 6 x 6. Kind of fun really. I think it turned out nicely.
I used Pion Design papers, a spellbinder die, and a Martha Stewart punch. I used WOC and Kort og Godt flowers and flower swirl. Buttons are from my stash- I almost never use buttons on my projects...lol, so these were found deep down in a drawer. The white seam binding and the pearl on top are by WOC, and the lovely lace is from the Live and Love Craft store.

The Tilda in Summer Rain by Magnolia, is colored with distress inks.
Hope you like it!

Joy Fold Card for a birthday

Good morning friends and followers,

Are you enjoying some lazy summer days? I am a few days in to my summer holiday and I'm loving every minute of it! The weather is shifting- but I don't mind. Rainy days are crafting days- so I'm enjoying them too...lol.

I wanted to show you a card I made for the june edition of Ett Trykk Magazine.

I used Pion Design Alma's Sewing Room papers- Blue Room 6x6 for this card. The punch used around the edges of the cardstock is by Martha Steward. The beautiful medallion is from the Live & Love Craft Store.

The stamp is Tilda with big tulips by Magnolia. I colored her with distress ink pads and markers.
The sentiment means "happy birthday" and is by  Norsk Stempelblad AS.

Flowers are WOC, the charms are from my stash, the swirls are cut out from a heart swirl die by Memorybox.

This is a custom order for a good friend of mine, she wanted to give a card for her friend's 40th birthday. Her friend loves the Norwegian poet Kolbjørn Falkeide, so she gave me one of his beautiful poems about friendship to put inside the card. The swirl stamp is by Stempelglede.

You can find the tutorial in THIS youtube video from Splitcoast stampers. I adjusted the size to make it bigger and to match the punch size.

Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, enjoy your summer days!

Papirplanetens Magnoliautfordring #4

God morgen,
I dag er det tid for en ny oppgave til dere i Papirplanetens Magnoliautfordring. Ta en tur over til bloggen for å se oppgaven.
Good morning peeps,
It's time for a new Magnolia Challenge over at Papirplaneten. Please stop by to see what this months challenge is.

Her er mitt bidrag/ Here's my card:
Mønsterarkene er fra Bildmålarna, den lille fuglen er fra Tim Holtz, den er malt med hvit Crackle paint. Diesen rundt stemplet er  Spellbinders Decorative labels 8. Crackle paint maling også på Floral Swirl Corner fra Magnolia, bånd, blonde og rundt omkring på kantene av kortet. Stempelet er fra Just a Note fra Stempelglede.

Tilda with floating hearts er fargelagt med distress ink og no lines teknikk.

I colored my Tilda with floating hearts with distress inks pads and markers, and I gave the no- lines technique a go. I'm not sure what I think about it, but I had lot's of fun trying.
