Bon Voyage

Magnolia Down Under has a fun challenge this week: To use a stamp from the bon voyage collection, or travel theme. Here's my take:

I've been thinking about trying to create a scene on one of my cards for a long time. I see so many georgeous scenes on blogs around, and I wanted to give it a shot. I don't really have a lot of background stamps, but I figured I could try to put together something from the stamps that I have. I chose not to do masking, because I wantet to be able to move the objects after coloring them.

I colored the stamps with copics and cut out them out with scissors and scalpell. I used a small house, two fence stamps, a tree, and tilda on the loose. All Magnolias. The fence is stamped on aquarell paper, distressed with walnut stain distressink and then covered with glossy accent to make it pop. I cut the tree in two to make it less dominant, and used the two parts to frame the scene.

I cut a square of aquarell paper and paintet the sky and grass with distressink. Then I glued the stamps on, creating a scene in layers, wich gives the card a 3D effect. It doesen't really show on the pics that well, but it looks kind of cool in real life:)

I desided to make a step card using quick cutz scalloped edge dies to create a frame effect. Papers are pion design.

Some of the details:) I made some room for writing a personal message on the bottom of (under) the card.

Hope you like it:)
Love it if you leave a comment to say what you think!

Don't forget to check out my previous post for the Just Magnolia challenge this week!

Lots of hugs,
