DT Midweek Magnolias #59: Lovely Lace

Good morning friends and crafty bloggers,

I'm having a busy day in blogland today, this is my second post and its only 9.30 am here in Norway. Please scroll down to see my card for Papirplanetens Magnolia cahellenge.

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge for you over at the Midweek Magnolias.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used Pion Design papers. Flowers are Kort og Godt and WOC. An old butterfly punch, a Magnolia doohickey die and lace from my stash. The sentiment is by Stempelglede.
I colored the older Magnolia Tilda with my Copic Markers.

DT Papirplaneten Easel card with Flying Tilda.

I made a round easel card for this challenge: 

Flying Tilda er fargelagt med distress ink. Jeg har brukt følgende farger.  I colored Flying Tilda with distress inks. I used: 

Hud/skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo og Aged Mahogany og Tattered rose til kinn/for the cheeks. Hår/ hair: Antique Linnen og Walnut stain, Kjole: Velvet rose og black sooth. Vinger og skygge/ Wings and shadow: Black sooth.

Jeg har brukt Maja Design paperer, blomster fra WOC, Kort og Godt og Live & Love crafts. Dies fra Lifestyle Crafts/ Quick Kutz og Magnolia. Tekststemplet er fra Norsk Stempelblad AS. 

I used papers from Maja Design Vintage Spring Basic. Flowers from WOC, Kort og Godt and Live and Love Crafts. Lace and metal corner are also from LLC. The dies used are by Lifestyle crafts and Magnolia. Sentiment is by Norsk Stempelblad AS.

DT Copic Marker Norge: Konfirmasjon

I found this fancy fold over at the talented Mariannes blog and tried my best to figure out how to make one...lol.

Jeg kikket rundt i bloggen til Marianne her om dagen og fant dette lekre brettekortet som jeg bare måtte prøve. 

Tenkte at dette stemplet passet perfekt til denne komfirmanten, så da ble det Saturated Canary igjen:

Papirene er fra Maja Designs vakre Vintage Spring Basic Collection. Jeg har brukt Martha Stewart Punch rundt kantene og jeg har skrevet ut tekst på PC'en. Blomstene er fra WOC. 

Papers are from Maja Design, vintage spring basic collection, I used a Martha Stewart Punch, flowers by WOC. I printet out the sentiment from my conputer. 

Motivet er festet på en tag som fungerer som lukkemekanisme på kortet. 

Motivet er fra Saturated Canary og er fargelagt i disse fargene:

Hud: E13-11-00-000, W3, Hår: E39-37-35--31-30, W7, Genser og rosa: RV95-93-91-V000, W5, Svart koffert: N9-7-5-3-1-0, Brun koffert: E77-74-71-70, Blått: B97-95-93-91, Skjørt og grått: W7-5-3-1-00, Skygge: W5-3-1-00

 Her ser du selve kortet. Jeg måtte streve litt for å få til den spesielle brettingen, men synes det ble fint til slutt.  Here's the card, it is made from a 12 x 12 cardstock, so it took me some figuring out to get the idea of how to make it....lol.

Inni kortet har jeg dekorert med de samme lekre papirene. Jeg har laget en remse midt i kortet til å feste penger bak.  I decorated the inside of the card with the beautiful papers.

DT Ett Trykk: Vintage

Good morning peeps!

We are continuing our 50 editions celebration over at Ett Trykk Magazine. I'm hosting the challenge today, and we are taking you back to 2009 where we had an article on the Vintage style of cardmaking.

Vintage is still going strong in the cardmaking world, and, as you all know I am a big fan of this style.

Here is the card I made for today's challenge

I used a Pion Design papers, from the Alma's sewing room collection. The notepapers are from an old music book I got at a flea market. The sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad AS. The currogated cardboard, the doily and ribbon are from my stash. The small butterflies are made from a small punch I have in my drawer. The flowers are WOC and the pearls are Papirdesign. I used some Picket fence crackle paint here and there, and I distressed the edges with walnut stain distress inks. The pretty tag is from Sagen Vintage Design. I used a Martha Stewart punch around the edges of the card. I used my sewing machine on the edges of the DP.

I used a cut out from K& company, the beautiful laces are from the Live & Love Craft store, so is the butterfly charm and the pearl brad.

DT Ett Trykk:Tutorial- an easy way to color pleats with copics

Hi friends and crafty bloggers!

 Ett Trykk magazine is having a celebration this month! We are showcasing different techniques featured in the 50 editions since the magazine started. We are having new challenges every week using some of these techniques, so please stop by the Ett Trykk blog to have a look and join in our challenges. 

The technique I'm showcasing is coloring. So I made this little picture tutorial showing you how to color simple pleats on a dress with Copic Markers. I hope it's helpful! You will find the tutorial in Norwegian HERE!

I used 4 markers: RV95- RV93- RV91- V000

       1. Start with defining the pleats            2. Go over the dark color               3. Continue with RV91

           the darkest color RV95                        with the middle color RV93

                                                                        to blend out.

         4. Then V000 to fade the              5. Go back with RV95 again.           6. And RV93 again.
         colors. Always keep some
         white space in between.

        7. And RV 91.                                    8. And V000. Keep the white           9. I went over the dress 

                                                                     space.                                                with the 4 markers one

                                                                                                                               last time and colored                    

                                                                                                                                the rest of the image. 

That's it! I used my greys (W7-5-3-1-00) to define shadow under the dress to increase the sense of wavy fabric. 

I used these colors on the rest of the image: 

Skin: E12-11-00-000, R32-30, Hair and shoes: E44-43-42-41-40, W7, Shirt: W7-5-3-1-00, Dress, heart and headband: RV95-93-91-00.

Here's my finished card:

Midweek Magnolias #57: CASE the DT

Good morning friends and bloggers,

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments, I love reading every single one of them! 

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge for you over at the Midweek Magnolias. 

This week we want to take at good look at the design team's projects and CASE one of them! 

CASE means copy and selective edit. We want you to make a project inspired by one of us.

Remember to include a Magnolia stamp or item, and don't forget that we have a limit of 5 challenges total if you want a chance to win the surprise prize from Magnolia in Sweden and a chance to be in our top 3 Magnolia Marvels!

I used the lovely Maja Design Vintage Spring Basic papers. The heart dies are Mangolia doohiceky's and I used a Spellbinder die around the image. The butterflies are from one of the Maja design papers. The flowers are by WOC.  The sentiment stamp is from Stempelglede "just a note" set. I distressed the edges with Walnut stain distress ink and I used liquid pearl around the image.

I colored the special stamp Koala Hugs with distress ink pads and markers.
Skin: Tattered rose and vintage photo, aged mahogany, Hair: Antique linnen and Walnut stain, Koala: Black sooth and aged mahogany, shoes: Peeled paint and black sooth and the shadow is Stormy sky
