DT Ett Trykk: Recycled penholder for my desk

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 

I wanted to show you a penholder I made for my desk. I used boxes and things from around the house to make this for the august edition of Ett trykk Magazine. We made an article on recycling and this was one of my projects. You can find the tutorial for this in the the magazine (Ett Trykk 04/13).

I used papers by Pion Design from the Vintage Garden collection - Felix. The die used is by Spellbinders, roses by WOC. I distressed the edges with Walnut stain distress ink. 

I used these boxes from around the house as base for my project.

The vintage pictures are from a Pion Design sheet and the butterflies are cut from a Kort og Godt cut-out- sheet.

I made a post it holder form cardstock and covered it with design papers.

Midweek Magnolias #47

Popping by to show you my latest card for this weeks Midweek Magnolias challenge. This time we have a warm an cozy challenge for you:

 We want you to use either a furry animal, feathers, or Tilda in a coat on your project this week.  

Don't forget to follow our very simple roolz if you want to be in with a chance of picking up that fabulous mystery prize from Magnolia Sweden.  You must use a Magnolia image, and you may only share your project with up to 4 other challenge spots.

I made a card from a paper bag this time:

I used gesso, pion papers, Magnolia doohickey dies (fence, snowflake) and a Martha Stewart punch. The lantern is by La La land crafts and the ribbon and lace are from my stash. The cute little sentiment stamps are from the new release by Norsk Stempelblad AS. I used a page from an old book and lots of distress inks on the edges along with my sewing machine. The postmark stamps are by Kort og Godt.

 I masked two stamps and colored the image with copic markers.

I made a card from cardstock for the inside. Also covered with the beautiful pion papers.

Here's my card, I decided to let summer stay with me for just one more card...lol

I actually used christmas papers on this, from Pion Design. I used my sewing machine along the edges and distress inks. The dies used are magnolia doohickey's and a spellbinder. The butterfly is cut out from a Kort og Godt paper, and the flowers are by WOC. The postmark stamps and sentiment are by Kort og Godt. 

I inked up Strawberry Yummy Tilda with my copic markers. These are the colors used: 

Skin: E13-11-00-000
Hair: YR24-23, E35-33-31 og E57
Dress: G94-82-21-40 og W3, for the grass I also added BG93 og G99
Basket: E57-53-50
Strawberries: R89-37-35-32-30-27
Greys: C5-3-1-00
Ground: E35-33-31
Shadow around the image: B60, C00, W1
I also added shadows to the image using W3.

I distressed all edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. 

I colored my gorgeous Magic Every Day Shaky A Digi with copic markers. To get the sepia effect I used E47-44-43-42-41-20 and W5-3. For the shadows I used W5-3-1-00.

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge for you over at the Midweek Magnolias.

Fall is about many things, one of the best parts (according to my 7 year old) is Halloween, so a made a Halloween card this time:

I used lots of scrap papers on this card. The circle paper is from a jar of jam, it was wrapped around the lid. The pumpkin is a sizzix die cut. The flowers are by iamroses and the lace are from my local craft store. The charms are from my stash, the music note clip is by Tim Holtz. I distressed the edges with Ranger distressink- Black sooth. I distressed the flowers  with crackle paint- picket fence. And I used a spellbinder die behind the image.  

Copics used: Skin: E13-11-00-000, Hat and dress: C9-7-5-3-1, Orange: YR9-6-4,

I wantet to show you a card I made today.

This digi also comes in a little figurine, "The Hamilton Collection" Sherri Baldy~ Besties Of Hope!

each figurine will raise money to breast cancer research and breast cancer awereness program. 

We all know someone... so I think this is a wonderful cause!

Here's my card:

I used papers by Maja Design, from the Sofiero collection. The lace is from the Live & Love craft store, the flowers and ribbon are from WOC and the charms and pearls are from my stash. The swirl stamps are by Stempelglede. I used a Magnolia Doohiceky's for the doily tag. 

I colored the cute little bestie with my copic markers. I used stickles on the wings and here and there:) 

I found this sentiment on a card on pinterest- I thought it fit perfectly fro this card! I printed it out from my computer. The die is by Spellbinder.

The Paper Nest Dolls: Miss Hollywood

I hope you are all well. I wanted to show you a card I made for the sweet Christine over at the Paper Nest Dolls. 

She sent me one of her supercute stamps for me to make a card for her, and this is how it turned out:

I used papers from Pion Design. the flowers are WOC and Kort og Godt, The lace is from the Live & Love craft store. The sentiment is a Whimsey stamp and the cute little birds are by Tim Holtz. I used a Magnolia doohickey die for the lace border. 

I colored the lovely Miss Hollywood digi with my copic markers.

Here's a look at the inside of the card too. These papers are so beautiful!
