Distress ink try- out!

Good evening bloggers!

Inspired by all the talented crafters out there, I've got my heart set on learning how to color with distress inks. I love my copics, and I will never quit using them, but I want to use those distress inks I bought years ago, just sitting there in my drawer... So I've been coloring and coloring... and it's SO HARD! Lucky for me, lots of talented ladies have made tutorials for me to see, but still... it's very difficult. Finally I decided that today is the day I make a card with one of the many images I have colored over the past week. So here goes!
I want to enter my card into the following challenges:

TOMIC: 1st anniversary, Anything goes.
Lovely hAnglar or sweet Magnolia:  Your favourite color combo. Mine is pink, brown and white.
Wild Orchid Challenge: Anything goes. I used Mulberry flowers.
So, here's my card (sorry the colors are a bit dark):

The paper is from Maja Design- vintage summer basic collection, I used Magnolia doohickeys: hear swirl, bloomy tag, scalloped stitched lace and lovely fence (man, I'm really addicted to those doohickeys...lol), I bought the pearls on the string from Hjerteboden Bakke, postmark stamps from Kort og Godt,  and doily, lace, cheese cloth and charm from stash. The flowers are mulberry roses and rosebuds, and I made a flower from lace just by pulling it together with a string from the kitchen cabinet:). I distressed the edges with vintage photo, and used my sewing machine around the edges. That's about it.

Here are some details from the card. You can take out the tag for a personal message.

Here's my Tilda sending loveletter colored with distress ink. I'm learning, but like I said... it's not easy:)

Hope you like my card. I'd love it if you leave a comment. I'm happy to get any advice on coloring with distress ink.
Thank you for popping by. Have a great week!

Hugs,
