DT CMN Ekstra Sommerutfordring/Summer Challenge

Good morning bloggers and friends,

Today I want to show you a card and bookmark I made to send to a friend of mine. For no other reason than she's my friend.
We are having some summer fun over at the Copic Marker Norge blog, please stop by and join our summer challenge for a chance to win some copic markers and stash.

Our theme is Friendship. Here's my project:

I am totally mad about the Saturated Canary images these days. I won these two in the facebook challenge, and I finally had time to ink them up. So much fun to color! Kisses is absolutely my new favorite!
Papers are from Bildmålarna and Studio Light.  Butterfly die by Marianne Design and punch by Martha Stewart. Lace from the Live and Love Craft Store. Pearls and charms on bookmark are from my beads drawer ( yes I've been threw the beading period too...lol).

Tutorial: Coloring Curly hair with Copic Markers/ Fargelegg krøller med Copics

Hi friends, 

I am so happy to tell you I am now a part of the Copic Marker Europe DT! 

I made at ltutorial on how to color frizzy curly hair with Copic Markers. 

I love curly hair, but it can be hard sometimes. I'm sure there are lots of wonderful ways to do it, here's one of mine:) Hope it's useful!

I chose this beautiful image, Mothersday- daughter by Saturated Canary. I colored the skin first to make sure the chosen hair colors matched. 

Markers I will use for the hair is: E49-59-39-35-33

 Start with your darkest marker E49. Use the tip of your maker to make the curls. You can practice on a scrap piece of paper to get the movements right. Make very light swirls, barely touching the paper. I'm careful to follow the artists drawings when coloring, starting near her face and coloring towards the tip of the hair. On the right picture you can se the strokes I made.

 Next, repeat the movements using your second darkest marker E59. As you can see I leave some white space between the strokes, filling it marker by marker, so the strokes have to be very thin.

I repeat the swirling moments over her whole hair. 

 Then I go over again with E39. Filling the white spaces, but make sure you don't cover it all. 

Go over again using E35 and E33. Be sure to leave some white space

Finally I go over one last time with the darkest marker to make shadows under her cheeks to make the curls pop. Keep using the swirl movements.

Time to finish up the rest of the image and make a card.

I used Copic Opaque White to make the dots on her skirt. 

 Here' s the finished card. Papers by Maja Design, Spellbinder floral oval and swirl by Memorybox. Flowers are WOC. Sentiment by Norsk Stempelblad and postmark stamp is Kort og Godt.

The best crazy bunch ever!

Hi there friends, 

Popping by to show you part of a project I made for one of my favorite people in the whole world. My sister turns 40 this summer and yesterday we threw a surprise party with the girls.

I made a special and very personal gift for her, so I wont show the whole project. But I thought it would be fun to show you this image on the back of the project, 

because I think it turned out kind of cool. 

I used two fabulous Saturated Canary images: Selfie and Saturday Coffee. I masked them together and made this crazy bunch of us sisters and two of her best friends. We had a fantastic day and evening together and we laughed so hard my stomach muscles are still hurting. 

Sorry about the picture quality, it's taken with my iPhone on the gift table....lol.

Wedding Card

Hello crafting friends,

Here is a custom card I made a while back that I haven't shown you. It's a wedding book card using lots of die cuts and punches. Summer is wedding season so here goes. Sorry about the not-so-good quality of the pictures.

 Papers are Maja design. Dies from Memorybox, Go Create and Spellbinders, flowers by WOC. I used a Martha Stewart punch and the cut couple charm is from the Live & Love craft store. 

Here is the inside of the card. I used a cute Mini- Magnolia bridal couple colored with Copic Markers.

I made it for my daughter to give to her teacher the last day of school. 

The papers are Maja Design. I used a piece of currogated cardboard and seashells collected by my daughter last summer:) I used my sewing machine along the edges of the design paperes and distressed the edges using vintage photo.

Babycard- Double zig zag card

Hi peeps, 

Hope your days are good! I made this baby card for a friend who just had a beautiful little baby girl. 

Sooo cute, love the smell of that sweet little bundle of beauty! 

Jeg har laget et babykort til noen venner av familien som akkurat har fått en nydlig jentababy. Helt skjønn! Det er noe med lukten av bitte små babyer... herlig.

Papers are Maja Design from the beautiful Sofiero collection. I used a Martha Steward punch along the edges and WOC roses. Charms from stash. I used spellbinder dies for the oval in front. The sentiments are by Norsk Stempelblad. 

I used a tutorial by the talented Marianne to make this zig zag card (click on her name to get to tutorial).  (don't know what happened in the photo-editing, the pink roses are actually the same color as the pink in the papers....lol)

GDT Paper Nest Dolls: Little Red Riding Hood

Hello friends, hope you are enjoying the lovely spring!

Summer is in the air here in Norway, and we are spending most of our time outdoors. Love it! 

Today I have a cutie to show you. I'm guest designing for The Paper Nest Dolls this month, and I made a card using an image from the new release: Red Riding Hood Avery. So much fun to color.

I used papers by Maya Design. Dies used are Magnolia Scalloped Stitched Edge, Lovely Fence and flower Swirl Corner , and La La Land Heart Banner. The wood embellishments are by Tim Holtz. Sentiment by Norsk Stempelblad. I used my sewing machine along the edges.
