Hi peeps,
Hope you are enjoying the beautiful hint of summer. Love this time of year!
I wanted to show you a tag I made for Ett Trykk earlier this year. No colored image and no card this time...lol... can you believe it!?!
I made this (with a few minor adjustments) using a tutorial I found over at Tammy Tutterow's blog using her embossing powder resist technique. Thanks Tammy!
I cut a tag from white card stock and made the color using distress inks: Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Walnut Stain.
The stamps used are by Stempelglede – swirls, sentiment and Magnolia - butterflies
I used Live & Love Crafts' Shabby Seam binding and Bark Hearts and roses by WOC.
I also used Embossing ink, Frantage embossing enamel: Shabby White.
Step by step: Make the tag from white card stock. Then stamp the swirls using embossing ink. Next cover the tag using Frantage, shake off the excess powder, heat using a heat gun. Next color the tag using distress inks in different colors. The embossing will keep the swirls white! Then stamp on the butterfly and sentiment using waterproof ink. See the fab tutorial over at Tammy's blog for detailed instructions with pictures.
Thanks for stopping by my blog this evening,
wishing you a creative week!
Crafty hugs,
